et cetera

On our updated site we added a category called et cetera for all the items that we can't categorize elsewhere.  It only has a few things in there now, but we'll be adding many things that were scattered somewhere in our old site (e.g. detachable garters), plus adding new items such as lingerie bags and adhesive tapes.  In there right now are mostly gloves. These aren't the gloves for cold winter days - these are inexpensive gloves for costume parties, dress-up, etc. Maybe do a surprise striptease for your mate - after all, you can't do a striptease without gloves!

Aviana Full Figure Bras

Unlike many bra manufacturers, Aviana (Designs for Comfort) focuses on one type of bra - the full figure bra. In other words, their bras are designed from the start as full figure bras, rather than offering a given style in a full range of sizes. This is why they have such a loyal following.  Generally, sizes range from a 34 to a  46 band and cup sizes start with a D or DD and go up to an H. Styles include wire-free, underwire and minimizer bras. You can check them out here:

Beat the Heat

Lightweight, airy, sheer chemises can be a life saver on these hot summer days - and summer has just begun! While this one shown here is too sheer to wear out in public (unless you're using it as a swimsuit coverup), it's great around the house or apartment - just keep a robe or kimono handy in case the UPS guy comes knocking on the door. Shown here is the Arianne Penelope Chemise

Triolet High Waist, Side Zip Open Botom Girdle

Triolet is new to us and new to America, but they've been active in the European market for over 40 years. The company is located in Belgium. Much of what they manufacture is classic-style bras and shapewear, but they also have modern-style lines. Their products are of high quality, yet reasonably priced given that quality.  Shown here is their high waist, side zip (actually more off-set than side) open bottom girdle. The zipper is actually a full-length zipper and unzips completely - unusual for a girdle. Underneath are hook/eyes the entire length. The result is a girdle that's very easy to put on and take off.  It also has rigid nylon embroidered panels in front for tummy control, and side bands for shaping. Four bones prevent rollover. The back is sheer powernet. The four suspenders are detachable - not that you'd want to do that. After all, what's the point of wearing an open bottom girdle without stockings?

New and Improved

Well the new Brabarella is now up and running. The old one is there as well, so if you've bookmarked items for future purposes, you should either buy now (just kidding) or go to the new site starting with and bookmark them again. The old site will linger on for about a month. You'll notice that there are fewer items than before. Some items that were there before will be added later, while discontinued items will land on our Little Pink Dress site once that site is re-done. We're still trying to figure out how to revive and best use the LPD site. It is an active site, it's just that Brabarella has become so busy in recent years that we haven't had much time to put into it. Anyway, please check out the new Brabarella site and let us know what you think. It looks a lot like before, but it is better coded and is much more tablet and smart phone-friendly.
