Passing Strange
I took a break from reading Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s diaries and letters – I’m on the fourth book so far and reading chronologically as I find her life and era fascinating. But that doesn’t mean I’m not reading… I’ve switched to local lore and history, specifically New England lore – ghost stories and other paranormal experiences to be exact. Halloween and Samhain prompted me. Well, not just that – my dad also gave me a copy of my cousin’s podcast. Well, not quite a podcast but rather a CD of his podcast. After listening to it, I must say I may have to get an IPOD, or else bug Sean (whom I haven't seen in ages but can always use the "I knew you way back when..." line on since I am 8 years older than him) to give me a CD that has the ENTIRE “Halliburton Hitchhiker” story on it. The CD was a demo that was just a tease! Radio Ghost got the “best New Hampshire podcast for 2007.” Sean also does stories for NH NPR. Other works I've been reading/listening to have included books by Edward Lodi (Witches of Plymouth County and other New England Sorceries) and Joseph Citro (Passing Strange), both authors I have met in the past. In keeping with my theme, I think I’ll watch Misery tonight.
